The Power of Music

The Power of Music

The Power of Music is a multi-sensory installation presented at the Human in Tech week by The Verse, exploring the intersection of sonic healing, human emotion, and emerging technology. Designed as an immersive listening experience, the installation invites participants to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner states through a curated journey of sound.

The installation features seven original musical compositions, each tuned to a specific solfeggio or healing frequency (e.g. 396Hz for grounding, 528Hz for transformation, 963Hz for spiritual connection). Each track is paired with ambient lighting and tactile vibration to heighten sensory impact and promote resonance with the listener’s energetic and emotional states.

1. The Song Wall

Participants began by reflecting on the profound influence of music in human life—physiologically, culturally, and emotionally. This collaborative board allowed guests to contribute a meaningful song, lyric, or playlist link that had helped them in their healing journey—turning the collective experience into an evolving, crowd-sourced music archive.

2. A Moment Music Healed, Shifted, or Touched You

A communal reflection wall where visitors shared personal memories of when music supported their healing or transformation. Sticky notes captured stories of joy, grief, resilience, and hope.

3. Personalized Flower

4. Let’s Hum Together: A Sound of Connection

A participatory sound ritual. Guests were invited to hum together as a form of sonic empathy, creating a collective vibration felt through their bodies— Through imagery and sound, they explored how a vibration could become embedded in an emotional “artifact” object uniquely theirs—something remembered and embodied.

Listen up.

Using headphones, listen to the music to hear your world more fully.
